You can ask us to delete your KhumoHub account and the personal information linked to it at any time. This page satisfies Google Play's account-deletion requirement and works whether or not you can still sign in.
How to request deletion
- In the app — open Profile → Privacy & Your Data → Request account deletion and tap again to confirm. You receive a reference number on screen.
- Get your data first — the same section has Download a copy of my data, which saves everything we hold about you as a file on your device.
- By email — send "Delete my account" from your registered email address to privacy@khumohub.com including your store name.
We verify the request against your registered email or mobile number before acting on it.
What is deleted
- Your profile: name, email, mobile number, avatar and role assignments.
- Your sign-in credentials, PIN hash and any registered biometric credential identifier.
- Device registrations and push tokens.
- Draft, unposted work such as uncommitted stock counts and unposted requisitions.
What is retained, and why
- Posted financial records — sales, refunds, cash-ups, goods received and journal entries — are retained for five years as required by South African tax and company record-keeping law. They are de-identified from your profile where possible.
- Records subject to an active dispute or legal hold, until it is resolved.
Timing
Deletion completes within 30 days of verification. Backups containing the data are rotated out within a further 30 days. You receive written confirmation once the deletion has run.
Store owners
If you are the owner of a store, deleting your account closes the store for all its staff. Export your data first — Reports → Export — because closure cannot be reversed.
